Laboratory
Safety Components maintains two separately conditioned physical laboratories
and a specialized area for both chemical and performance screening. All laboratory
and plant inspection, measuring and testing equipment is under calibration control
with traceability to NIST or equivalent standards.
   The Safety Components laboratory is responsible for developing and participating in
ASTM sponsored semi-annual proficiency testing studies for a wide variety of textiles.
Our laboratory is accredited to perform or consult within a wide range of standards and
testing procedures.
   Our Laboratory/Quality Assurance staff is available to assist customers with the proper
selection of testing protocols and methods as well as quality systems development and
laboratory training. Safety Components Laboratory and Quality Assurance
Departments are staffed by personnel who are trained as quality system auditors in
accordance with the standards of ISO/IEC 17025, ISO/IEC 9001:2000, and ISO/IEC
TS-16949.
